Job summary

Region 14 is seeking a Paraprofessional to work district-wide in Connecticut. Start date is ASAP and the position offers comprehensive medical and dental insurance, HSAs, FSAs, EAP, life insurance, disability plans, and retirement contributions.

Qualified applicants will have experience with students with disabilities, knowledge of child development, strong teamwork and communication skills, and PMT/First Aid certification is preferred. Deadline is Until Filled.

GENERAL DUTIES:

Work collaboratively with special education team, independently deliver instruction planned by certified staff; collect data on student performance; assist children with physical disabilities; foster independence, implement communication and behavior plans; exhibit an understanding of modifications and adaptations that can be made in the classroom setting in order to promote student success.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working with students with disabilities. Comprehensive knowledge of childhood development. Excellent teaming, collaboration and communication skills. Current PMT/First Aid certification preferred.

SALARY: $20.25/hour
