Job summary

Region 14 School District is seeking Paraeducator Substitutes As Needed to support Region 14 Schools district-wide. This position starts ASAP and is posted until filled.

You will work with the special education team, deliver instructions, collect data on student performance, assist students with disabilities, and help implement behavior and communication plans in inclusive classrooms.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with disabilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of childhood development.
• Excellent teaming, collaboration and communication skills.
• Current PMT/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with special education team to deliver planned instruction.
• Collect data on student performance.
• Assist children with disabilities and promote independence.
• Implement communication and behavior plans with classroom modifications.

GENERAL DUTIES:

Work collaboratively with special education team, independently deliver instruction planned by certified staff;collect data on student performance; assist children with disabilities; foster independence, implement communication and behavior plans; exhibit an understanding of modifications and adaptations that can be made in the classroom setting in order to promote student success.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working with students with disabilities. Comprehensive knowledge of childhood development. Excellent teaming, collaboration and communication skills. Current PMT/First Aid certification preferred.

SALARY: $17 per hour. This role is not eligible for benefits
