Job summary

The Wachusett Regional School District is seeking a Paraprofessional to provide instructional support at Houghton Elementary School. This 32.5-hour-per-week position operates under the Paraprofessional Salary Schedule.

Responsibilities include one-on-one and small-group student support, assisting teachers, and helping maintain a safe, productive learning environment. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; prior classroom support experience is desirable.

Pay: Paraprofessional Salary Schedule

Hours: 32.5 hours weekly (6.5 hours per day)

A Paraprofessional is needed to provide instructional support to Teaching staff including but not limited to:

• Working one on one with students and in group settings to ensure curriculum goals are achieved;
• Support Teaching and other building staff in creating a safe and productive learning environment for all students;
• Assisting in both academic opportunities and or other assistance that enhances student success.

High School Diploma or equivalent required - experience working with children in academic support roles desired.
