• Implement instructional plans provided by the supervising teacher
• Create and oversee behavior-management plans
• Transport students
• Supervise students in the classroom and during certain out-of-classroom activities
• Tutor students and assist in small group learning exercises
• Help with admin tasks such as copying and filing papers, taking attendance and preparing lessons for teachers
• Collaborate with other educational professionals to meet students' needs
• Assist with trainings through our special education department
• Support general school activities like assemblies, cafeteria and recess
• Participate in lesson planning meetings and special education assessments
• Work and support special education students
