West Michigan Academy of Arts & Academics is seeking a full-time Paraprofessional to support students in reading and math interventions and assist in classrooms during lunch and recess. You will work with students in small groups or one-on-one, under the supervision of certified teachers and building administration.

The role requires a High School Diploma with preferred Associates degree or 60+ college credits and may value ETS Para Pro endorsement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate's degree or 60+ hours of college credit preferred.
• Passing score (460) on ETS Para Pro Assessment preferred.
• Prior experience working with students or children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in small groups or one-on-one for reading and math interventions.
• Provide support in classrooms during lunch and recess.
• Collaborate with teachers on lesson planning and instructional activities.

Job Summary:

Work with students in small groups or one on one for reading and/ or math interventions. Support students in classrooms during lunch and on the playground during recess.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

• Take instruction from building administrator or classroom teacher
• Meet with students in small groups or in the hallway to work on instructional areas based on their area of need.
• Lesson planning will be done with certified teachers
