Job summary

West Michigan Academy of Arts & Academics is hiring a full-time paraprofessional in Spring Lake, MI to support reading and math interventions in small groups or one-on-one. You will assist classrooms, supervise during lunch and recess, and work under the guidance of certified teachers.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (an associate degree or 60+ hours preferred), and a ParaPro score of 460 or higher is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associates degree or 60+ college hours preferred.
• Passing score (460) on ETS Para Pro Assessment preferred.
• Prior experience working with students or children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in small groups or one-on-one for reading and math interventions.
• Support students in classrooms during lunch and on the playground during recess.
• Take instruction from building administrator or classroom teacher.
• Meet with students in small groups or in the hallway to work on instructional areas based on need.
• Lesson planning will be done with certified teachers.
