Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring full-time Paraprofessionals for a K–12 school setting in Longmont, CO. In this role, you’ll provide direct support to students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs, helping them access their education and succeed in the classroom.

Starting ASAP for the 2026–2027 School Year. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with students and making a meaningful day-to-day impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred.
• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow direction and support behavior and academic plans.
• School-based or paraprofessional experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to students in the classroom.
• Assist with implementing behavior plans and classroom strategies.
• Support students with academic tasks and daily routines.
• Help reinforce social, emotional, and communication skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers.
• Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Support students with transitions throughout the school day.
• Maintain basic documentation as needed.
