Houston R-I School District is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to assist teachers in developing instructional programs for students individually or in groups. You will help prepare materials, support classroom discipline, and conduct planned activities using teacher-designated methods and resources.
The position emphasizes working with students with special needs, data collection, and collaboration with teachers and staff to ensure an environment of learning and safety.
Performs a variety of tasks, assisting the teacher in the development of an instructional program by working with students individually or in small/large groups, preparing instructional materials, assisting in the implementation of classroom discipline, and conducting planned activities using teacher-designated methods and materials. Some positions may require aptitude and skill in working with students' specific disabilities or learning needs.

Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the provisionsof Board policy GDN: Evaluation of Support Staff.
Nine-month employee. This is an at-will position that may be terminated by either the school district or the employee with two weeks' notice. Wages are dependent on experience and education, as determined by the board-approved salary schedule. Eligible for a benefit package as established by the board of education for full-time employees.
