Job summary

Market Street Wealth Management Advisors in Crawfordsville, IN is seeking a diligent Paraplanner/Operations Assistant to join our fee-only team. You will organize data for financial planning, input into planning software, and prepare client deliverables while maintaining CRM data accuracy.

This full-time role emphasizes process discipline, excellent service, and collaboration with FPQP® and CFP® professionals. Office-based with occasional Indianapolis meetings.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent hands-on experience in a service, administrative, or operations-focused role.
  • Strong track record of owning a process from start to finish and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Experience training, onboarding, or supporting other team members is a strong plus.
  • Background in financial services, banking operations, healthcare administration, customer care, or another client-facing, process-driven field.
  • Interest in a career with an Independent Fee-Only Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) business.
  • Ability to work in our Crawfordsville office, with flexibility to be present in our Indianapolis office occasionally for all-team meetings and projects.
  • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and work unsupervised.
  • Understanding of fiduciary responsibilities to clients.
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality in dealing with client matters.
  • Desire to work successfully in a small company environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process documents for client accounts with our custodian to open/close accounts, and process transfers and rollovers.
  • Review and organize client information including financial statements, tax documents, legal documents, insurance policies, and other data.
  • Maintain client information and communication within our firm's CRM system.
  • Manage financial planning software including plan input, running scenarios, and printing reports for client meetings.
  • Attend client meetings in a supporting role as requested.
  • Assist with gathering and organizing client tax documents to support tax projection preparation.
  • Assist with gathering client insurance policy information and documentation to support advisor reviews.
  • Scan client and firm documents.
  • Create Investment Policy Statements for clients.
  • Communicate with and respond directly to client requests via phone and email.

This full-time role supports our team of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals by organizing information, keeping our workflows on track, and making sure follow-up gets done efficiently and accurately. This role is well suited to someone who takes pride in running a tight process and delivering excellent service, whether that experience comes from financial services, banking, healthcare administration, customer care, or another service or operations focused background. Financial planning knowledge can be built on the job; a strong service and process foundation is what allows someone to succeed here.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who wants to build a long-term career supporting a growing Fee-Only Wealth Management Firm. The candidate will work with both Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP®) and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ team members to learn how to organize financial data, input that data into our planning software, and prepare deliverables for client meetings. Candidates will also maintain accurate data in our firm's CRM system and process paperwork and requests for client items at our custodian. For candidates who are interested in building a career in paraplanning and operations rather than pursuing a path toward becoming a financial planner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and process documents for client accounts with our custodian to open/close accounts, and process transfers and rollovers.
  • Review and organize client information including financial statements, tax documents, legal documents, insurance policies, and other data.
  • Maintain client information and communication within our firm's Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Manage financial planning software including financial plan input, running various scenarios, and printing reports for client meetings.
  • Attend client meetings in a supporting role I requested.
  • Assist with gathering and organizing client tax documents to support tax projection preparation.
  • Assist with gathering client insurance policy information and documentation to support the advisor's policy review.
  • Scanning of client and firm documents.
  • Create Investment Policy Statements for clients.
  • Communicate with and respond directly to client requests via phone and email.
General
  • Attend Market Street Staff meetings.
  • Assist with other special projects.
  • Print and maintain office supplies and deliverables
QUALIFICATIONS

An ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent hands‑on experience in a service, administrative, or operations‑focused role (financial planning or business‑related coursework is a plus, but not required).
