Job summary

JES Tech is seeking a Paramedic to support emergency medical response and clinical operations at NASA Johnson Space Center and Ellington Field in Houston, Texas. The role combines on-site emergency care with occupational and flight medicine testing in a unique NASA environment.

You will respond to medical calls, coordinate with medical teams, perform pre-hospital care, and support transport to hospitals, while ensuring patient privacy and adherence to protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Texas Paramedic certification/licensure.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Ability to work effectively in emergency situations and make timely patient-care decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, emergency response personnel, and other team members.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency medical calls, assess patient conditions, and provide pre-hospital care.
• Coordinate with JSC Fire, Security, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel to support patient care.
• Make critical patient-care decisions within paramedic protocols and scope of practice.
• Collect, document, and communicate relevant patient information to receiving medical professionals.
• Coordinate and support patient transport to local hospitals when necessary.
• Support occupational and flight medicine examinations and testing (audiometry, PFT, EKGs, vision screening, physicals).
