Job summary

Mercy EMS is seeking a Paramedic (EMT-P) to provide direct patient care, assessment, and stabilization. You will access patients in challenging terrain and transport them per Mercy EMS protocols.

The role requires ACLS at hire, PALS within 6 months, Hazmat awareness, and the ability to perform strenuous tasks while maintaining equipment. Mercy offers comprehensive benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

• Paramedic (EMT-P) license for the state of practice is required.
• ACLS at hire and PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Hazmat awareness level training and valid driving license.
• Must meet extensive physical requirements and be able to access difficult terrain.
• Ability to read medication dosages on labels and syringes.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, and medical rescue.
• Stabilize, evacuate, and transport patients according to Mercy EMS protocols.
• Access patients in challenging environments and work with equipment and teams.
• Maintain equipment and perform clerical and maintenance duties as needed.
