Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Pembroke Pines, FL is seeking staff to provide patient care under the direction of a physician, physician's assistant or registered nurse.

You will assist with procedures, keep department areas clean and stocked, document assessment findings, and perform technical tasks such as IV access, ECGs, and wound care. With training, you may perform additional ED functions under supervision.

Qualifications

• Vocation Technical (Required).
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Paramedic license (State of Florida).

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians and nurses with medical procedures and examinations.
• Maintains department areas clean, stocked and orderly.
• Documents assessment findings to medical staff.
• Performs technical procedures such as IV access, ECGs, telemetry, specimen collection, wound care, and patient transport.
• With training, may perform ultrasound guided IV placement, IO placement, NG tube insertion and IV medication administration in ED under supervision.
