Job Description

The EMT-Paramedic is responsible for providing patient care based on knowledge and experience. Responsibilities include collecting patient health data, identifying expected outcomes, implementing care plans, and evaluating patient progress. The EMT-Paramedic collaborates with families and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care, addressing biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients of all ages. They serve as a resource to physicians and staff, supporting the hospital's mission and values, and are expected to perform job functions independently while contributing to quality improvement activities.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED; graduate of an accredited EMT-Paramedic program.
  • Licensure/Certification: Valid Georgia EMS Paramedic license, driver's license, current BCLS certification (annual), ACLS encouraged, and related specialty certifications encouraged.
