Job Summary:
Independently works off assessment skills to activate patient care protocols, delivering care within the Tennessee paramedic scope of practice and Vanderbilt paramedic scope. Responsible for triage care in the field and Emergency Department, ensuring safe and quality patient care through effective communication within the paramedic team, during transport, and handover.
Department Summary:
LifeFlight Ground EMS started with a single ambulance in fall 2011. Now, it includes 21 ALS-equipped ground ambulances across four locations in Middle Tennessee: Nashville, Lebanon, Tullahoma, and Clarksville. These ambulances mainly handle interfacility transfers and discharges from Vanderbilt-affiliated facilities, with support for non-Vanderbilt facilities as well.
