Seeking Paramedic! Baptist Health ER Urgent Care

Position Type: PRN, Days and Hours Vary

Job Duties:

In this role, the Paramedic provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. Administers direct care to patients of all age groups under the supervision of an emergency medical physician, emergency physician's assistant, or emergency advanced registered nurse practitioner, or follows approved EMS protocols during patient transport. Ensures adherence to hospital and department policies as well as paramedic scope of practice.

About the Department:

This hybrid emergency room and urgent care facility offers both types of care to patients conveniently under one roof. Patients receive appropriate care in a simple, cost-effective, one-stop location. The emergency room operates 24/7 with transport services available for high-acuity emergency situations requiring surgery. On-site imaging and laboratory services are also available.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of State certified EMT-P course
• State of Indiana EMT-P License or willingness to obtain it
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required
• PALS from AHA, ARC, or AHSI required
• ACLS from AHA, ARC, or AHSI required
• Valid Driver's License
• At least two (2) years of previous experience preferred
