Job summary

AdventHealth in Rome, GA seeks a licensed Paramedic for PRN Day shift duties. You will respond to EMS calls, provide patient care per protocol, ensure ambulance readiness, and maintain infection control standards while delivering compassionate service to patients and families.

Qualifications

  • Identify patient acuity levels.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art technology and computer systems.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with diverse patients and staff.
  • Multi-task in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Strong critical thinking.
  • Emergency vehicle operations (Preferred).
  • Defensive driving (Preferred).
  • 5 years of driving passenger vehicles (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Supports community service and relationship functions as requested by leadership.
  • Maintains a safe and effective work environment by infection control standards.
  • Communicates effectively with healthcare team members and other emergency responders.
  • Ensures the ambulance is clean, stocked, and ready for use at all times.
  • Follows established policies, procedures, guidelines, medical protocols, and safety standards.
  • Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls to provide care to ill and injured patients.
  • Performs assessments and applies methods of treatment and transport based on medical protocols.
  • Operates the ambulance safely and professionally, obeying traffic rules and regulations.
  • Completes patient care reports, daily checklists, and other required documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
