About this position

Provides advanced life support care to the sick and injured, safely transporting patients of all ages to medical facilities. Assists with other services and events as directed by North Memorial Ambulance Service.

Requirements

Education
  • Completion of an accredited paramedic training program required.
  • Associate of Science degree preferred.
Experience
  • Previous ambulance and ALS experience preferred.
  • For Air Care Paramedics, at least three years of ALS experience as a Paramedic required.
  • Prior flight experience preferred for Air Care Paramedics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to organize, problem-solve, and make decisions in emergencies, working independently.
  • Knowledge of local streets and highways.
Licensure/Certification
  • Current Minnesota or Wisconsin Paramedic Certification, or ability to obtain within 60 days.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association or Red Cross upon hire or within 14 days.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Additional certifications vary by role, including PALS, NRP, and flight-specific credentials, with specified timeframes for obtaining them.

Work Group: Non-Contract

Hours per biweekly pay period: 72

Shift: Day/Evening/Night, 12-hour shifts

Location: On-site

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Benefits: Health insurance options available based on eligibility.

Salary Range: $32.00 - $47.50 per hour, dependent on experience.

Shift Differential: Possible depending on shift worked.
