Job summary

AMR in Tigard, Oregon is seeking Paramedics who are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care across emergency and transportation settings.

You will lead crews on 911 responses, operate medical equipment including defibrillators and EKG monitors, and collaborate with public safety personnel to ensure the best outcomes for patients. A state paramedic license and current certifications are required; this role offers paid training, shift differentials, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• State Paramedic License active.
• PHTLS or trauma certification valid.
• State Driver’s License with clean record.
• BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certifications held.
• Driving record compliant with policy.
• Able to pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best action with progressive paramedic protocols.
• Utilize paramedic skills with defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, IVs.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Lead the field team and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and relations.

Job Description: Salary Range: $73,394.83 - $112,102.00 depending on experience

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced, patient care to our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Paramedic License
• PHTLS or a trauma certification equivalent
• State Driver’s License
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
• Driving record in compliance with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
