Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis and provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff. You will interview donors, review medical histories, and collaborate with the Center Medical Director on suitability decisions.

The role involves reviewing test results, counseling donors with reactive findings, and escalating serious cases per SOPs. Nursing, paramedic, PA, or medical school credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a healthcare graduate with licensure or current certification as applicable.
• Ability to assess donor suitability and respond to medical inquiries.
• Experience in a plasma or labeled blood donation setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis under general supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure.
• Interview donors and review medical history to determine donation eligibility.
• Collaborate with Center Medical Director on donor suitability discussions.
• Review test results to assess ongoing donor suitability and symptoms.
• Notify and counsel donors with reactive test results; refer for follow-up.
• Provide routine care following SOPs; escalate critical cases to physicians.
• Respect local regulatory requirements; ensure compliance with procedures.
• RNs are eligible to apply.
