BioLife Plasma Services in Texas is hiring a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations under the Center Manager and Center Physician.

You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable tests, while ensuring compliance with EHS and FDA training requirements. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent, including nursing program and state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where duties will be performed: EMT-Paramedic.
• CPR and AED certification are required.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete the FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Aufgaben

• Determine donor eligibility: informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance criteria, physical exam, blood testing, SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and medical emergencies per SOPs, and coordinate donor transport to care facilities.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on findings and medical/technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine if occupational health/ER evaluation is needed; refer to EHS guidance.
