Job summary

Clay County Hospital Inc. seeks a PRN Emergency Medical Services paramedic to provide basic care and comfort for patients in the ER and pre-hospital environment. You will work with ER physicians, paramedics, EMTs and RNs to support urgent care needs.

Requires IL paramedic license and certifications (ACLS, PALS, CPR). This PRN role adds 5% to base pay; minimum two shifts per month to maintain PRN status. Pay starts at $28.67/hour with applicable shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus specialized training.
• Paramedic license required (State of IL).
• ACLS, PALS and CPR certifications required.

Job description

Provides a variety of basic care needs and comfort measures for patients in the ER and pre-hospital setting. Adheres to the State of IL EMS Systems Act (210 ILCS50) as well as any applicable EMS region 5 regulation and policies. Works with the ER Physician, Paramedics, EMT, and RN staff.

Varied Shifts. Pay begins at $28.67 and increases with experience. Shift differentials of 6/9% as are applicable as well as $3 per hour for weekend shift differential.

High School plus specialized Training. Current license with State of IL Paramedic, ACLS, PALS, CPR required.

Role is for a PRN status, meaning it is an as needed job to fill open shifts when full time employees are off the schedule. PRN roles will have an additional 5% added to the base pay in lieu of benefits. CCH requires PRN employees to work a minimum of 2 shifts a month to maintain a PRN status.
