Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Paramedic license required at state level.
• Valid state driver’s license is required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic.
• Driving record must comply with company policy.
• Pass a physical agility test.
• Some healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine the best course of action using Paramedic protocols.
• Operate medical equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, and IV fluids to provide advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and families to explain care plans and provide reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage the scene and unit operations as needed.
• Drive the ambulance for 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and other Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and community relations.
