The Paramedic is responsible for providing Advanced Life Support (ALS) services. Provides quality pre-hospital care to individuals of all age groups when delivering emergency care and transportation. Ensures the safe and prompt transportation of patients while providing timely, professional care. This role may involve working in hazardous conditions and uncontrolled environments, wearing appropriate PPE. The position requires critical thinking to assess, triage, communicate, treat, and transport patients across various settings, including emergency and non-emergency transport, standby, and special events. The paramedic must coordinate seamlessly with other emergency agencies and healthcare providers. All patient care reports must be completed for each patient. Daily operational tasks support the department, and actions must comply with New Jersey Guidelines (N.J.A.C. 8:41), HMH protocols, policies, and procedures for ALS services.
