Job summary

Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Paramedic for part-time, on-site Emergency Medical Services. You will provide Basic and Advanced Life Support, inspect and maintain ambulance equipment, and ensure adherence to REMAC/DOH protocols while coordinating patient transport to receiving facilities.

The role requires EMT-Paramedic and REMAC certifications, a valid NYS DMV license, and the ability to lift up to 125 pounds.

Qualifications

Must maintain EMT-Paramedic and REMAC certifications; High School Diploma or GED or higher education.
Must be able to read & write in English, and interpret instructions, and read a map.
Must be able to lift, carry, and balance 125 pounds (250 pounds with assistance).
Must be able to read and interpret weight/volume ratios and complete required documentation.

Responsibilities

Provide Basic and Advanced Life Support care and transport.
Inspect vehicle and equipment at start of tour and ensure readiness.
Maintain compliance with NYC REMAC/REMSCO/DOH/OSHA regulations and department policies.
Complete patient documentation and relay information to receiving facility.
Restock, clean, and render vehicle operational for next use.
Attend CME and department meetings and trainings.
