Job summary

MedFleet, LLC is seeking a seasoned Paramedic to join our Critical Care Transport team in Florida. The role emphasizes high‑level patient care using CCP standards, with emphasis on documentation, inter-facility transfers, and ongoing training.

The position requires Florida Paramedic certification, BLS/ACLS certifications, and a valid Florida driver license. The candidate should have strong communication skills and a focus on safety and quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Florida Paramedic certification is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Florida driver license on offer.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care using Critical Care Training, ACLS, and CCP Standing Orders.
• Assist in treating with appropriate techniques and equipment according to company standards.
• Complete run reports and ensure patient care documentation and billing information.
• Maintain CCP continuing education requirements for ongoing training.
• Know ambulance equipment, supplies, and medications thoroughly.
• Maintain professional communication and service with customers.
• Market the CCP program to maintain a positive image and understanding of CCP.
• Record all runs in CCP Log spreadsheet and report equipment issues daily.
• Attend CCP staff meetings and perform stocking and cleaning of CCP vehicle and station.
• Have in-depth knowledge of CCP policies and procedures.

Job description

• Provide quality patient care utilizing thorough knowledge and appropriate administration of Critical Care Training, ACLS, and Critical Care Transport Standing Orders.
• Assist in treating with appropriate techniques (resources and equipment) any medical situation while maintaining the highest standard of patient care according to current Company standards.
• Complete run reports for each transport with appropriate patient care documentation and billing information.
• Maintain CCP continued medical education requirements to maintain a higher level of training and education.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the ambulance, equipment, supplies, and medications.
• Will provide our customers with professional and courteous communication and service.
• Will actively market the CCP program to maintain a positive image and understanding of the CCP program.
• Understand the procedure for vehicle checkout, reporting equipment failure, submitting expended supply reports on a daily basis.
• Record all runs in CCP Log spreadsheet when indicated.
• Attend CCP Staff meetings.
• Perform stocking and cleaning of CCP vehicle and station.
• In depth knowledge and understanding of CCP policies and procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Florida Paramedic certification (Information for out-of-state applicants or to renewclick here )
• Current BLS & ACLS Certification
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Florida driver license upon offer of employment.
• High School Diploma or GED

Desired Qualifications:

• A.S. Degree in Emergency Medical Technology
• Two years working experience as a Paramedic.
• National Registry
• Critical patient inter-facility transfer experience
• Critical Care certification

Physical Requirements

• The Paramedic is required to sit, stand, walk, climb or balance, step, stoop, kneel; and talk or hear. The Paramedic is required to pull, lift, grasp, reach, use hands, finger movement, and repetitive motions.
• Must frequently lift and/or carry a minimum of 140 pounds up to 200 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Requirements will vary; must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Works outdoors and indoors with occasional exposure to hazardous conditions and to blood/body fluids, requires respirator use, fumes/odors, extended day, and temperature changes. Frequently works with others, face-to-face contact with others with exposure to noise, mechanical equipment, and electrical equipment. Performs shift work and performs duties frequently in a mobile environment and in confined areas.
