We are seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

Job Description Summary

Responsible for evaluating donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures, administering and supervising approved immunizations (excluding red blood cell immunizations), and providing limited emergency medical care to donors and staff, including medication or treatments in accordance with licensure or certification.

Key Responsibilities

1. Promote positive customer relations with all donors.
2. Conduct confidential interviews with donors to assess suitability.
3. Respond to medically related questions from staff and provide information on donor suitability.
4. Perform medical history reviews and health assessments.
5. Notify and counsel donors regarding test results and refer for follow-up.
6. Explain informed consent and obtain signatures.
7. Handle medical emergencies and ensure emergency kits are stocked.
8. Review test results for continued donor eligibility.
9. Assess signs and symptoms that may affect donation ability.
10. Manage employee immunization programs.
11. Ensure accurate recording of donor data and maintain a clean work environment.
12. Follow all safety and confidentiality policies.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school, or naturopathic program.
• Current license or certification as required.
• Minimum of one year experience in healthcare; experience in plasma collection preferred.
