Citrus Cardiology Consultants, PLLC in The Villages and Leesburg seeks a Stress Monitor/Paramedic to join the Nuc. Med./Stress Department. You will monitor patients during cardiac stress testing, ensure safety, and support physicians and technologists with documentation and care.

Required Florida Paramedic license and BLS/ACLS certs. Prior cardio or stress test experience is a plus, with strong EKG interpretation skills and effective teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• Current Florida Paramedic license is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for stress tests; obtain consent and educate on risks.
• Monitor patients during treadmill and pharmacologic stress testing.
• Recognize and respond to arrhythmias, abnormal vitals, and distress.
• Record and report EKG changes, BP, and symptoms accurately.
• Set up 12-lead EKG monitor pads and leads for testing.
• Provide emergency response and life support if needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists as part of the care team.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation compliant with standards.

Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a Stress Monitor / Paramedic to join our Nuc. Med./Stress Dept. in The Villages & Leesburg. This role focuses on monitoring patients during cardiac stress testing, ensuring patient safety, accurate documentation, and providing clinical support to physicians and technologists in our cardiology practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for stress test, including patient interviews, obtaining patient consent and signatures, and conducting patient education related to risks and complications
• Monitor patients during cardiac stress tests (treadmill, pharmacologic stress, and other modalities).
• Recognize and respond to cardiac arrhythmias, abnormal vital signs, and patient distress.
• Accurately record and report EKG changes, blood pressure, and patient symptoms throughout testing
• Set up and monitor patient through 12 lead EKG stress testing including application of 12 lead EKG monitor pads and application leads.
• Provide emergency response and life support if necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and diagnostic technologists as part of the patient care team.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in accordance with practice and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Current Florida Paramedic license required.
• BLS & ACLS certification required.
• Previous experience in cardiology, cardiac monitoring, or stress testing preferred.
• Strong EKG interpretation skills; must be proficient in reading EKG and have strong familiarity with abnormal EKGS
• Excellent communication, patient care, and teamwork abilities.
