Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville is seeking a Paramedic to join the Emergency Department at Baptist Medical Center North for a full-time night shift. You will assist with patient assessments, treatments and documentation in a fast-paced hospital setting under RN supervision.

Required are a High School Diploma, Florida Paramedic License, and BLS; an Associate degree is preferred and ACLS is a plus. Responsibilities include supporting RNs, collecting specimens, monitoring intake and output, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.

• EMR/documentation proficiency in a fast-paced ED.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs in patient assessments and care in the ED.
• Support activities of daily living and maintain a safe patient environment.
• Collect and label lab specimens.
• Monitor and record patient intake and output.
• Document all patient care in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely, high-quality care.

This is a full-time, night-shift opportunity.

At Baptist Health, a Paramedic in the Emergency Department plays a key role in supporting patient care and ensuring timely, compassionate service during critical moments. The Paramedic works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to assist with patient assessments, treatment, and documentation in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Paramedic Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting RNs in providing care to patients with urgent and emergent healthcare needs.
• Supporting activities of daily living and maintaining a safe patient environment.
• Collecting and labeling lab specimens accurately.
• Monitoring and recording patient intake and output.
• Documenting all patient care and observations in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care.

Paramedic Experience:

• High School Diploma Required
• Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
• Florida Paramedic License Required
