Job summary

Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes is seeking a Paramedic to join our EMS team for permanent night shifts. Responsibilities include responding to calls, delivering advanced prehospital care, and coordinating interfacility transfers while maintaining equipment and documentation.

A valid Paramedic license and state certification are required, along with BCLS/ACLS/PALS credentials and a driver’s license with MVR checks.

Qualifications

• State licensure as Paramedic or RN authorized to operate as a Paramedic.
• BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required at hire.
• Valid driver's license and MVR requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergent and non-emergent calls in the prehospital setting.
• Provides medical care at scene, during transport, and during interfacility transfers.
• Assess patients and determine appropriate treatment within scope of practice.
• Provide advanced life support and monitor patient condition en route.
• Maintain readiness of unit, equipment, and supplies.
