Job summary

Redemption Correctional Healthcare Solutions PLLC is seeking a Paramedic for night shift at our Duncan, OK facility to deliver emergency and routine medical care within a full scope of practice. This role supports a complex inmate population and operates in a secure, collaborative environment.

The position offers a full-time, 12-hour night schedule with competitive pay ($28.00-$42.00/hour DOE) plus a $2.50 night differential.

Qualifications

• Current Oklahoma Paramedic license.
• 3+ years experience as a Paramedic (5+ years preferred).
• Valid CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance issued by the Stephens County Sheriff's Office to work within secure jail areas.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Respond to medical emergencies throughout the facility and provide emergency care according to protocol.
• Administer medications according to written and verbal orders, and protocol, including parenteral drugs, OTC meds, and pre-packaged prescriptions.
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, splinting, and cast/brace care.
• Conduct lab draws, specimen collection, and point-of-care tests (e.g., blood glucose, 12 lead ECGs).
• Assist physicians/PAs/NPs during clinical assessments and procedures.
• Close wounds per protocol with medical direction oversight.
• Perform intake screenings, document health history, vital signs, and initiate medical charts.
• Monitor patients for signs of illness or injury and escalates as needed.
• Educate and support correctional staff on emergency response and clinical topics.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and emergency equipment.
• Participate in training, drills, and safety initiatives.
• Document care in accordance with facility and company standards.
• Escort patients within the facility to medical areas in coordination with detention staff.

Qualifications

Required:

• Current Oklahoma Paramedic license.
• 3+ years experience as a Paramedic (5+ years preferred).
• Valid CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance issued by the Stephens County Sheriff's Office to work within secure jail areas(No consumer credit check is performed).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred:

• Experience in EMS, emergency departments, or correctional settings.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.

Work Environment

Secure correctional healthcare environment with appropriate PPE and infection-control protocols. Role invloves standing, walking, and escorting patients. Essential physical functions include moving/positioning patients and equipment and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds-with or without reasonable accommodation.
