Job summary

CFG Health Systems, LLC is seeking Paramedics to provide emergency and routine medical care to inmate patients in Goshen, NY, working with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and outcomes in a correctional setting.

This full-time evening shift (3 pm–11 pm) requires EMT-Paramedic certification, CPR/BLS, a minimum of one year of paramedic experience, strong assessment and communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining

Qualifications

• At least one year of paramedic experience.
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments in various settings (intake areas, health care units, housing units, clinics).
• Administer treatments such as EKGs, phlebotomy, nebulizer therapy, Narcan, IV fluids, oxygen, and other emergency interventions as appropriate.
• Assist in resuscitation efforts and provide emergency medical support (CPR, AED, shock prevention, bleeding control, spinal precautions).
• Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, report changes to supervising staff, document care using SOAP format.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and healthcare teams for timely care.
• Maintain medical equipment, restock supplies, ensure readiness.
• Provide patient education and participate in discharge planning as directed.
• Promote a therapeutic and professional environment, treating inmates ethically and respectfully.
• Comply with federal, state, local regulations and facility standards.

Job Summary

Paramedics provide emergency and routine medical care to inmate patients in accordance with established scopes of practice. Working in collaboration with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals, Paramedics ensure effective patient care delivery and the achievement of desired clinical outcomes. Paramedics in a correctional setting utilize their training and skills to promote and maintain the overall health and safety of the inmate population.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as an EMT-Paramedic (EMT-P).
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• At least one (1) year of paramedic experience.

• Maintain an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
