Job summary

Methodist Health System is seeking an ER Technician II to provide basic patient care and support the Emergency Services team in a fast-paced environment in Dallas, TX. You will follow physician orders, operate lab equipment, assist with discharge and patient education, and collaborate with staff and families.

Qualified candidates will hold an EMT-P certification (Texas license) or National EMT-P, plus BLS, ACLS, and PALS within 90 days of hire; 1 year of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED.
EMT-P certification (Texas) or National EMT-P certification.
BLS certification required.
ACLS certification required.
PALS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide basic patient care and assist with direct patient care to support patients, families, and Emergency Services staff as ordered by the physician.
Operate laboratory equipment as needed.
Assist with patient discharge and education.

Job Description

The ER Technician II is responsible for all basic patient care duties and assists with direct patient care to provide support services to the patients, families, and other Emergency Services staff. This includes, but is not limited to, therapeutic treatment as ordered by the physician on duty, operation of laboratory equipment, patient discharge and education.Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.

Job Requirements

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Current Texas EMT-P certification (license required) or National EMT-P Certification

Current Basic Life Support Certification required

Current Advanced Cardio Life Support Certification required

Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification required within 90 days of hire

Work Experience: 1 year of work-related experience - preferred
