Job summary

Methodist Health System seeks an ER Technician II to provide basic patient care and assist with direct patient care in the Emergency Services department.

The role supports patients and families, following physician orders, and may involve lab equipment operation, discharge, and education. Current Texas EMT-P or National EMT-P, BLS, ACLS, and PALS (within 90 days) are required, with 1 year of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Texas EMT-P or National EMT-P certification required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required (PALS within 90 days).
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and support direct patient care per physician orders.
• Assist with therapeutic treatments and education for patients and families.
• Operate laboratory equipment as needed and assist with discharge.
• Support Emergency Services staff in fast-paced environment.
