Job summary

Methodist Health System is seeking an ER Technician II to provide essential patient care support in the emergency department. You will assist clinicians with direct patient care, operate laboratory equipment when required, and help educate patients and families under physician orders.

Qualifications include Texas EMT-P or National EMT-P, BLS, ACLS, pediatric ACLS within 90 days of hire, and a preferred 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Texas EMT-P certification or National EMT-P Certification.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year of work-related experience - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and assist with direct patient care.
• Operate laboratory equipment as needed.
• Assist with patient discharge and education.

This includes, but is not limited to, therapeutic treatment as ordered by the physician on duty, operation of laboratory equipment, patient discharge and education.
