Job Responsibilities

1. Follow the competencies outlined in the document.
2. Maintain a professional image and excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers, in line with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
3. Provide comprehensive and effective care to patients transported by McLeod Heart Network Ambulance.
4. Communicate positively (both written and spoken) when collaborating with healthcare facilities.
5. Adhere to all McLeod and South Carolina EMS DHEC policies and protocols.
6. Attend all required meetings and educational sessions.
7. Maintain necessary certifications and licenses as required by the role.
8. Complete documentation accurately, both written and electronic, per policy.
9. Stock and clean ambulances and medical equipment according to policy.
10. Identify and promptly treat potentially life-threatening situations.

Job Details

Type: PRN as needed; scheduled as required.

Qualifications and Training

• Proficient in using electronic documentation systems for patient transport data entry.
• Minimum of 3 years experience with a busy 911 system.

Licenses, Certifications, and Education

• Current South Carolina Paramedic Certification.
• National Registered Paramedic certification.
• Valid South Carolina Driver’s license.
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS (or equivalent), BLS.

Preferred Certifications

• FP-C, CCP-C, or CCEMT-P.
