San Francisco County Paramedics is hiring paramedics passionate about delivering compassionate and high-quality care, from basic to advanced patient treatment. The role involves assessing calls, operating defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and IV fluids to provide advanced care.

You will lead on-scene operations, drive 911 responses, and work with a team of professionals while engaging with the community to maintain AMR’s image.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• State Paramedic License required.
• State Driver's License required.
• Ambulance Driver's License required.
• Medical Examiners Card required.
• CPR/EMT certifications listed (BLS/ACLS/PALS or PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS).
• Clean driving record per company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best action using paramedic protocols.
• Operate medical equipment and perform advanced patient care.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Lead the paramedic team on scene and manage unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Engage in community programs to support AMR image and relations.
