Job summary

AMR in the United States is seeking a Paramedic Lead to supervise daily field operations and ensure high-quality patient care. This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and the ability to coordinate between field staff and leadership.

The Paramedic Lead will monitor system status, guide crews during calls, and uphold GMR protocols while reporting issues to management. A valid EMS certification and state driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Paramedic experience.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• State Paramedic Certification required.
• State Driver’s License with clean driving record required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, BTLS/PHTLS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

We’rehiring a Paramedic Lead who is passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and both basic and advanced patient care. This role is essential to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations byfacilitatingcommunication between field staff and leadership,monitoringsystem status, and making time-critical decisions. The Paramedic Lead also reports daily issues and achievements to leadership, acts as a role model to field employees, andprovidescoaching opportunities when standards are not upheld.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• Perform the required daily functions of a Paramedic Basic and be readily available toassistfield personnel.
• Monitor, communicate with, and support field staff in their tasks andobjectives.
• Assess each call situation todeterminethe bestcourse of action and make or approve all medical decisions of the unit.
• Act as a liaison between field staff, management, communications centers, healthcare facilities, and patient families.
• Work collaboratively withall alliedhealth and public safety personnel to ensure excellent customer service and the best possible patient care.
• Ensureappropriate systemstatus management goals are being upheld by monitoring system status and engaging directly with the communications center to pre-assign, reassign, and divert crews to provideoptimalefficiency during calls.
• Ensure that all in-service units are in a serviceable condition and oversee proper/timelydeployment of field staff. Monitor building, unit, and operations sites for cleanliness.
• Keep thorough and complete records of all issued equipment and be accountable for its return at the end of employee shifts.
• Assistroad crews and supervisory staff with proper Patient Care Report (PCR) transmission.
• Ensure that staff is adhering to GMR protocols and properlyresolve/escalate issues to theappropriate personnel.
• Promptly report and exceed any workplace injuries, vehicle incidents, and damage to property or equipment.
• Comply withall company policies and local, state, and federal employment laws while providing patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of Paramedic experience.
• Some leadership experience preferred.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Some advanced educationpreferred.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Strong listening and comprehension skills.
• Ability to adapt to quickly evolving situations.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Credentials/Licenses:

• State Paramedic Certification.
• State Driver’s License with driving record in compliance with GMR’s Safety & Driving policy (proofrequiredif conditional employment is made).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, BTLS/PHTLS Certifications.
