Job summary

Duke Life Flight Event Medicine seeks a Paramedic II to provide ALS level medical coverage at small and large events. This on-site, part-time role typically operates nights and weekends, with events averaging 4 hours and up to 10 hours.

You will work independently within the Duke Life Flight team, perform patient care within NC EMS scope, maintain records, and support training and quality improvement initiatives while upholding safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Two+ years ALS Paramedic experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• NC EMS scope of practice and Duke Life Flight guidelines.
• Current NC Driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide ALS level medical coverage at events.
• Perform patient assessment and care within scope.
• Maintain medical records and documentation.
• Restock supplies and perform vehicle inspections.
• Provide staff education and participate in performance improvement.
• Liaise with medical directors and healthcare team.
