Job summary

Central EMS in Covington, GA is seeking a Paramedic (EMT-P) to respond to 911 calls and deliver advanced life support in the field.

Required: GA EMT-P license, BLS, ACLS, PHTLS or PALS within 6 months, EVOC, HS diploma or GED, and a valid GA driver’s license. Shift: California 12hr shifts only.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Georgia EMT-P license and BLS/ACLS certifications are essential.
• PHTLS/PALS and EVOC are required or obtained within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Respond to 911 calls and provide paramedic-level care in the field.
• Operate ambulance safely and communicate effectively with the team and patients.
• Collaborate with hospital staff for patient handoffs and continuous care.

Basic Life Support Certification

Advanced Cardiac Life Support

PHTLS or equivalent certification

Minimum EMT-P Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• State of Georgia EMT-P License
• Basic Life Support Certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• PHTLS or equivalent certification (within 6 months of hire date)
• PALS or equivalent certification (within 6 months of hire date)
• EVOC or equivalent certification
• Current State of Georgia Drivers License

Physical Requirements

• The ability to reach, push and pull.
• The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• The ability to bend, stoop, squat and kneel for long periods of time.
• The ability to walk up and down stairs without difficulty.
• The ability to lift and maneuver 150 pounds without difficulty.
• The ability to lift and maneuver 150 pounds up and down two flights of stairs without difficulty.
• The ability to walk a distance of one quarter of a mile without difficulty.
• The ability to complete all job duties during any and all hours of the day and night.
