Job summary

Community Health Network, Inc. invites qualified Paramedics to join the EMS Department at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo, IN. This role blends field-based EMS with hospital-based care, supporting RNs and physicians in delivering ACLS-level patient care.

Ideal candidates will hold Indiana Paramedic licensure, a valid driver’s license, and current CPR/ACLS/PALS certifications. A minimum of one year of related experience is preferred, with EVOC within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Current Paramedic License to practice as a Paramedic in the State of Indiana.
• One year of experience as Paramedic/EMT/ED Technician preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• CPR, ACLS, PALS and Paramedic certifications/licensures required.
• If not Indiana-certified, must obtain Indiana certification within 60 days of hire.
• EVOC required within one year of hire.
• Demonstrates accountability and customer service.
• Computer skills for documentation and work-related purposes.

Responsibilities

The Paramedic functions as an EMS Department team member, assisting the registered nurse (RN and physician with basic patient care, as well as, Advanced Cardiac Life Support care. • Current Paramedic License to practice as a Paramedic in the State of Indiana
• One (1) year of experience working as a Paramedic, EMT, or ED Technician is preferred
• Valid Driver's License required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR),Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS),Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS),Certified Paramedic Certifications/Licensures required
• Certified Paramedic,If not currently certified in Indiana, out-of-state paramedics must have valid registration, and pass practical and written exams within 60 days of hire to be certified in Indiana
• Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) required within one year of hire
• Demonstrates accountability for own actions with an openness to change and learn
• Demonstrates customer service skills to provide exceptional patient and family experience
• Takes initiative to help others
