Job summary

LifeLine is seeking multiple Paramedics in Illinois. Paramedics respond to emergency calls, provide critical pre-hospital care, transport patients, and continue care during transport to the hospital.

The role requires calm under pressure and the ability to perform lifesaving procedures as needed. Responsibilities include fielding emergency calls, assessing conditions, administering medications, and mentoring EMTs in paramedic training.

Qualifications

• Illinois Department of Public Health Licensure required.
• Current CPR card.
• Must pass Region XI CNEMS Paramedic System Entry process.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean record.
• Consent to a criminal background check.
• Available for up to 4 day orientation class.
• Ability to lift/push/pull at least 150+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital patient care as outlined in Region XI CNEMS Standing Medical Orders.
• Respond to emergency medical calls and provide care per Region XI orders and training level.
• Assess patient condition and determine treatment path.
• Administer medications as outlined in Region XI CNEMS Standing Medical Orders.
• Perform advanced life support measures as required.
• Mentor EMTs and paramedic students (requires 1 year of experience or Preceptor certification).
