Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Paramedic.
A Paramedic at MercyOne, through evidence-based practice, under the supervision of a registered nurse or ED providers, provides outcome/goal-based nursing care for patients and assists the Registered Nurse in monitoring, observing and reporting patient response to interventions. Adheres to MercyOne’s performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of MercyOne.
Conducts initial and ongoing observations to gather data.
Assists in development of the outcome/goal-based plan of care.
Assists with the implementation of an outcome/goal-based plan of care.
Assists in monitoring patient progress toward individual identified patient outcomes/goals.
Communicates relevant clinical information to the team to optimize patient outcomes/goals.
Schedule:
General Requirements:
Minimum of 1-year ambulance or emergency room experience preferred.
Current certified Iowa EMT-PM or CCP
BLS provider
ACLS
PALS
PHTLS highly recommended.
Mandatory Reporter.
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (NVCI) within 6 months of hire.
