Job summary

AMR is hiring a Paramedic for a full-time position. The role involves delivering advanced patient care using medical equipment, leading the Paramedic team, and responding to 911 calls.

A valid State Paramedic License and driving privileges are required, along with core certifications (BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic). We offer a competitive hourly rate starting at $21.50 plus DOE, with opportunities to grow within Global Medical Response’s family of companies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
• State Paramedic License is required.
• State Driver’s License is required.
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications are required/preferred.
• Driving record must comply with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test is required.
• Some healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call and determine the best course of action using Paramedic protocols.
• Operate medical equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, and IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and assurance of care.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage the scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance for 911 responses.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel.
