Job summary

Ultipro seeks a Paramedic in Florida to provide quality patient care during critical transport, applying standing orders and maintaining equipment readiness. You will complete transport reports and ensure proper billing documentation, while upholding CCP standards and ongoing education.

Responsibilities include maintaining knowledge of ambulances, supplies, and medications, delivering professional service to customers, and actively promoting the CCP program within the team.

Qualifications

• Current Florida Paramedic certification
• Current BLS & ACLS Certification
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Florida driver license
• High School Diploma or GED

• Maintain CCP continued medical education requirements to maintain a higher level of training and education.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the ambulance, equipment, supplies, and medications.
• Will provide our customers with professional and courteous communication and service.
• Will actively market the CCP program to maintain a positive image and understanding of the CCP program.
• Attend CCP staff meetings.
• Perform stocking and cleaning of CCP vehicle and station.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• In depth knowledge and understanding of CCP policies and procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Florida Paramedic certification (Information for out-of-state applicants or to renew click here )
• Current BLS & ACLS Certification
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Florida driver license upon offer of employment.
• High School Diploma or GED

Desired Qualifications:

• A.S. Degree in Emergency Medical Technology
• Two years working experience as a Paramedic.
• National Registry
• Critical patient inter-facility transfer experience
• Critical Care certification

Physical Requirements

• The Paramedic is required to sit, stand, walk, climb or balance, step, stoop, kneel; and talk or hear. The Paramedic is required to pull, lift, grasp, reach, use hands, finger movement, and repetitive motions.
• Must frequently lift and/or carry a minimum of 140 pounds up to 200 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Requirements will vary; must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Works outdoors and indoors with occasional exposure to hazardous conditions and to blood/body fluids, requires respirator use, fumes/odors, extended day, and temperature changes. Frequently works with others, face-to-face contact with others with exposure to noise, mechanical equipment, and electrical equipment. Performs shift work and performs duties frequently in a mobile environment and in confined areas.
