Job summary

Ultipro in Florida is seeking a Paramedic to provide critical care transport services. You will perform patient assessment, administer care under standing orders, and maintain detailed transport documentation and billing records.

The role requires current FL Paramedic, BLS and ACLS certifications, and a valid Florida driver license; previous transport experience is preferred. The position includes outdoor/indoor work with exposure to hazardous conditions and shifts as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care utilizing Critical Care Training, ACLS and CCP standing orders.
• Assist in treating medical situations with appropriate techniques, resources and equipment.
• Complete run reports for each transport with care documentation and billing information.
• Maintain CCP continued medical education requirements.
• Record all runs in CCP Log spreadsheet and attend staff meetings.
• Stock and clean CCP vehicles and stations; understand CCP policies and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of ambulance equipment and medications; communicate professionally with customers.

Job description

• Provide quality patient care utilizing thorough knowledge and appropriate administration of Critical Care Training, ACLS, and Critical Care Transport Standing Orders.
• Assist in treating with appropriate techniques (resources and equipment) any medical situation while maintaining the highest standard of patient care according to current Company standards.
• Complete run reports for each transport with appropriate patient care documentation and billing information.
• Maintain CCP continued medical education requirements to maintain a higher level of training and education.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the ambulance, equipment, supplies, and medications.
• Will provide our customers with professional and courteous communication and service.
• Will actively market the CCP program to maintain a positive image and understanding of the CCP program.
• Understand the procedure for vehicle checkout, reporting equipment failure, submitting expended supply reports on a daily basis.
• Record all runs in CCP Log spreadsheet when indicated.
• Attend CCP Staff meetings.
• Perform stocking and cleaning of CCP vehicle and station.
• In depth knowledge and understanding of CCP policies and procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Florida Paramedic certification (Information for out-of-state applicants or to renew click here )
• Current BLS & ACLS Certification
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Florida driver license upon offer of employment.
• High School Diploma or GED

Desired Qualifications:

• A.S. Degree in Emergency Medical Technology
• Two years working experience as a Paramedic.
• National Registry
• Critical patient inter-facility transfer experience
• Critical Care certification

Physical Requirements

• The Paramedic is required to sit, stand, walk, climb or balance, step, stoop, kneel; and talk or hear. The Paramedic is required to pull, lift, grasp, reach, use hands, finger movement, and repetitive motions.
• Must frequently lift and/or carry a minimum of 140 pounds up to 200 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Requirements will vary; must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Works outdoors and indoors with occasional exposure to hazardous conditions and to blood/body fluids, requires respirator use, fumes/odors, extended day, and temperature changes. Frequently works with others, face-to-face contact with others with exposure to noise, mechanical equipment, and electrical equipment. Performs shift work and performs duties frequently in a mobile environment and in confined areas.
