Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Paramedic in Gouverneur, NY to join our Emergency Medical Services team. You will provide pre-hospital emergency medical care, respond to dispatch calls, assess patients, and transport to facilities on 12-hour shifts.

The ideal candidate holds NYS Paramedic license with BLS, ACLS, and PALS, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to high-quality care in diverse environments.

Formación

• Current NYS Licensed Paramedic with BLS, ACLS, and PALS; AHA credentials must be obtained within 3 months if not held.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments and adhere to protocols.

Responsabilidades

• Responds to emergency calls, assesses patients, and determines appropriate interventions with dispatch coordination.
• Safely transport patients to medical facilities, monitoring condition and providing care en route.
• Provide advanced life support, including airway management, IV therapy, defibrillation, and drug administration.
• Communicate with dispatchers, firefighters, law enforcement, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain detailed patient care reports and ensure equipment is ready and clean.
• Educate and reassure patients and families in crisis situations.
• Adhere to legal, ethical, and safety protocols.
• Lift/move patients in challenging environments and participate in ongoing education.
