Job summary

First Call Ambulance in Old Hickory, TN is seeking Paramedics to provide lifesaving EMS care for hospital and medical facility clients. Flexible full- and part-time schedules are available while delivering high quality patient care and friendly customer service.

Responsibilities include driving emergency and non-emergency vehicles, completing documentation, and maintaining equipment. Candidates must hold a valid state EMS license, an active driver's license, and current CPR/ACLS/PALS

Qualifications

• Must have valid state EMS license with no disciplinary action documented
• Must have active DL in the state the employee resides
• Maintains current certifications in CPR, ACLS, PALS, Trauma Certification (PHTLS, ITLS)
• Advanced Pediatric Certification (EPC/PEPP). Employee may be given 6 months after hiring to obtain Trauma and Pediatric Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide lifesaving EMS care as a Paramedic within the scope of practice
• Drive emergency or non-emergency vehicles using defensive driving techniques
• Complete required paperwork and documents appropriately and completely
• Maintain vehicle and equipment daily for cleanliness, safety and proper working order
• Promote professionalism and collaborate with health care personnel, patients and families
• Participate in training, in-services and quality assurance activities
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal requirements
