The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community is hiring a Paramedic/Firefighter to deliver high-level emergency medical care and ambulance transport. You will also respond to fire calls, perform firefighting duties, and assist with preplanning and disaster response within the SMSC and partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Must hold Paramedic (NRP) certification.
• Able to obtain IFSAC Firefighter II certification.
• Haz-Mat operations certification required or obtainable.
• Valid Minnesota driver’s license is required.
• Must pass department fitness requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline emergency medical response and ambulance transport.
• Respond to fire calls within SMSC and mutual aid partners.
• Assist shift captain with maintaining operational readiness.
• Contribute to fire suppression preplanning and community disaster response.
