Job summary

Town of Acton, MA is hiring a Firefighter/Paramedic for a 42-hour work week. The role involves fire suppression, advanced EMS care and prevention activities at a modern station in North Acton.

The department offers overtime rotation, an education stipend, paid vacation, personal and sick time, and comprehensive insurance benefits. Minimum requirements include Massachusetts Paramedic Certification, ACLS, CPR, PALS, a valid Driver’s License and GED.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Paramedic Certification is required.
• ACLS, CPR, and PALS certifications are required or preferred.
• Driver’s License and GED are minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responds to fire alarms, medical emergencies and other calls to protect life and property.
• Participates in fire prevention, training, station and equipment maintenance activities.
• Provides advanced life support emergency medical care and rescue operations.
• Performs other emergency and non-emergency duties as assigned.
• Oversees rotating overtime, an educational stipend and paid time off.
