Job summary

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients and their families.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work with electronic health record (HER) systems.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in a paramedic role or appropriate related clinical experience.
• Completion of Emergency Medical Services program.

Responsibilities

• Documents information/procedures and promptly communicates observations to the licensed clinician.
• Prepares and administers medications under supervision and assists with procedures.
• Provides emergency assistance under clinician direction.
• Notifies RN or physician of changes in patient condition.
• Supports patient/family teaching and documents in the medical record as appropriate.
• Coordinates communications to facilitate patient care (phone, verab, paging, electronic, EMS).
• Maintains clean and safe working environment and safe handling of equipment.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting duties with proper technique.
